My daughter said, "The term curriculum creep can be used at the individual course level or more abstractly at a program level. I first heard this term used in relation to a single course. A faculty member was so geeked about technology that he eventually began to load his weekly curriculum with every possible url and journal article and web-activity he could find and did so year after year after year--simply because he could. The Web was so user-friendly that more and more curriculum creeped in, with little thought or reason given as to why. The lesson? More is not always better; boosting the rigor of a course does not always lead to an improved learning outcome."
